These are probably 5 green experiences that every mama will get to see at one point in their lifecycle. Good luck and ay Caramba!
1. Vile – I know this by my own experience since I had my gallbladder removed 6 months after child delivery (which is quite common for some women after pregnancy) and I vomited vile afterwards – it wasn’t fun nor appealing.
2. Poop – when I used to work at this cookie manufacturing plant you got to eat the first freshly-made chocolate cookie batch. I was in heaven. The reason to perform the “green test” is to report if the poop looks green to have a successful batch. Do not get alarmed when your kid poops green after eating those Oreos.
3. “Green – grey hair” – in Spanish this term refers when children make their mommy more stressed out, tired or even become angered in such a short time that her hair is going to overpass the grey to mutate into green. I can see grey hair already on this head. I only hope in the next decade it stays that way.
4. Money – isn’t it always portrayed as green bills? As motherhood evolves, money becomes a topic in every household.
“How much did you pay for that crib?” – that is always a question that invites a fight at home.
5. Phlegm. I don’t think you need a picture for this, right. Colds have become very common in this house that I already developed resistance to the sound, look and texture of the mucus and phlegm.
I hate phegm, a lot. And Kids come fully charged with this. They cough it. They sneeze it. They rub it.
There you have it, a quick list of 5 green things that will make your motherhood ride more colorful. Did I miss one?

I never heard of the hair going green! But the other day I noticed mine had a greenish hue to it. Blaming my child! Brilliant.
Yes immaturity. I never would have remembered that!
Love you lists, keep them coming.

I so want to see The Green Lantern! And speaking of green poop, my two and four-year-old daughters are so fascinated by the color of their poop and what made it that color. Maybe I am pressing them to be budding scientists a little too much 🙂

Stasha: yes, that green hair thing is a very common thing to hear in the Latin community LOL I don’t even know its origins to be honest.
K, I find fascinating that your kids find poop fascinating LOL. My baby wants to touch her poop. I usually let her explore, but with this? really? I know she will eat it. So that’s a big no no.

And the images I added them today. I wanted to add some fun. Thanks Gailt.

Hahaha, your post is so funny. I love #4 and of course green is ‘verde’ in Spanish. Glad to connect with you on Bloggy Moms.

I totally forgot avocado, which I love! Nice list!
Afrodita says
Jessica: now you know the source of those green hair LOL
Afrodita says
Barbara: yes, I saw your blog too in the Bloggy Mums, nice
Afrodita says
Mama Roar: Thank you. Avocada can’t never miss my diet.
Kid Id says
Green hair – never heard of that – learn something new everyday. I must use it soon in a response to something my children have done. Maybe it’ll confuse them enough to get them to stop doing whatever they were doing to make my hair green!
Saretta says
Hulk is hot! Much more so than the Green Lantern! 😉
Afrodita says
See, I don’t know why Hulk doesn’t have green hair? He is mad a lot.

Such a fun and clever post 😉
Thank you for stopping by the other day and for your advice! My husband and I talk about our hazard of a bookshelf all the time. We definitely plan to get on that.
Have a wonderful weekend!
