This post was a little harder for me to write, I guess because the word yin-yang doesn’t resonate as much as I think. However, it took me a day to finally finish it.
My list of 10 yin-yang moments:
1. Double standards. Seriously, present in every household. This is my favorite.
2. Action- reaction. You yelled, I punched LOL
3. Dirty-clean. Seriously, how messy can it be to eat pizza with your hands? Oh, you used a fork? weird.
4. Give and Take. “Give it to me!” Hubs tells me when I can’t scroll channels with the remote (in his mind). “Yeah, here!, Take it! and I hope both of you are happily ever after!”
5. Rested- tired. I have forgotten the feeling of the first word. Pre-baby, that meant waking up sleeping in until noon. Open arms and yawn and place face on pillow again, just because I could. Now, let’s just say, my face reflect constant exhaustion and taking a nap just teases my hunger for a longer sleep.
6. Black and White. Pretty much used for everything, in cooking: Salt and Paper. In faith: Good Vs Evil. In Life, Outer limits on the scale of judgment: Right and wrong.
7. Easygoing – Organized (my husband calls it stressed out). That goes without saying, my husband is the easygoing. We get invited to a dinner party, we jump in the car and minutes later he asks me to tell him where we are going. WTF? He got invited, you would think he has the address info and road all planned out.
8. Shy – Extroverted. Baby M is so extroverted (which makes it easy for me, really), her friends are not.
9. Cold – warm. I love frappes in the hot weather, they are such a treat. The crispy ice melting in your mouth is so refreshing some times. Since the winter reigns in Canada, a bowl of warm sup goes a long way. It comforts the soul too.
10. Scattered – focused. Hubs office – that’s all, scattered papers everywhere. My way of cooking is very focused: I organize ingredients, I prep my cut pieces, as I cook I put things away and maybe wash dishes too if time allows.
Linking up with The Good Life for her Monday Listicles series.
