As many, I am sure, haven’t noticed, I haven’t been around the internet-landia in the last week or so. I have been sick for a while now and let me tell you I am sick of it (LOL). Not fun. For starters, waking up at night for the regular baby feed and then in the morning for her regular routine had had my brain close to apple puree. I barely checked emails and if I did was just to reply to family matters. So, I watched a lot of TV. From cartoons, sitcoms and those regular food channels they all seem to have a thing in common – halloween. Which just made me feel more miserable because I wasn’t up for it.
Then, yesterday, while I was watching an episode of Prime Suspects there was a commercial about the dude who played Fred Krueger on “A Nightmare On Elm Street” and then my husband fast-forwarded because it meant nothing to him. Apparently there was something new involving this guy and I wanted to know. Well my husband didn’t and his argument is that that movie was crap. Which I proudly said it’s a CLASSIC.
You will hear from me the term CLASSIC to only movies that I have seen and feel they bring a reference in MY life. Lot’s of you, and husband included, laugh at it when they find out the stuff I call it a CLASSIC. I don’t care he he. I am proud of the selection of stuff that makes a reference of that special history of MY life.
So, here is my list of CLASSIC halloween movies, which doesn’t include Halloween somehow:
1. IT
2. A Nightmare On Elm Street (just the first movie)
3. Prom Night
4. Child’s play (a.k.a. Chucky) – just the first movie.
5. Carrie
6. The Evil Dead
7. The Others
8. Sixth Sense
9. The Omen – The name Damian always give me the shivers
10. The Exorcist – seriously, the opening music itself is creepy
I admit I am not a fan of the new horror movies, some of them are very good to a point that is freaking believable. I stopped watching them since “The Grudge”. This movie was seen at noon and it freaked me out. I couldn’t sleep without at least one light on. So, I go back to the past he he he.
Do you like horror movies? What is your classic movie?
