This past week has been a little intense at work. There are a lot of changes and as expected with any other growing company, those changes might not mean good things to others.
The air is dense. The mood is sharp at times. People trying to stay afloat do what they can even if it means bad mouth your reputation.
“Don’t get bitter, get better.”
This quote stuck to me deeply. It is short but with so many ways to understand it. Usually we run in auto mode, get angry at the “new” guy or get upset with our supervisors for not “choosing” us. We avoid looking at the alternative; change. Improving or reinventing ourselves is not a bad idea in this case. Sometimes we think we have reached our limit, sometimes we think we are the best there is, sometimes we get comfortable.
Competition is healthy, it keeps us moving towards a better self.
