“The good, the bad and the ugly | home edition”, or my kind of interpretation for Stasha’s this week’s prompt – 10 things at home.
1. RECEIPTS
I am the one that controls manages the finances at home, so a big pile of receipts are waiting for me to check and validate. I have procrastinated this task for so long, I feel overwhelmed already.
2. PICTURE FRAME
I have this picture frame waiting to be put together for the last two weeks. It came with this inner picture mat that didn’t fit well so I have to order a custom size instead. The order hasn’t been put in place yet. Ahem. I guess I will keep seeing this around a little longer.
3. LAUNDRY (ALL OF IT)
Enough said right?
4. SIM CARD
I have around two photoshoots that I haven’t transferred to my laptop for post-processing. Since they are not paid sessions, I don’t feel that guilty. However, my inner creativity self dies to start working on them. Sigh, if only I had more time.
5. TOY STORY CRAP
Recently purchased the set of the stuffed Woody and the horse. The kid goes nuts (which makes me happy), but in translation that means another two more things I have to constantly pick up from anywhere or retrieve from hard-to-get places.
6. NAIL POLISH
Since time is an issue for this mama, I have three nail polish right by my laptop. I apply a coat prior to turning on my laptop. By the time I go to bed my nails are all dry and pretty. Oh, yes, so there are these nail polish cluttering my view as I type this.
7. USB
Uh. They are there, sitting next to my laptop, to remind me to put pictures of the family and take them for a print. Let’s just say those USBs need to stay there a little longer.
8. THE OFFICE
Not, not the show. The extra room we have at home that hubs keeps calling his office (so naive). I have a sense that will become the nursery for when we go for child #2. Anyways, this room comes up quite a lot in conversations, mostly because hubs is frustrated he is not using it. And I get stressed everytime that happens. Get over it, okay?
9. THE GUITAR
7 years ago, hubs surprised me with a guitar on hand when I came back from a 10 day vacation from visiting my family in Mexico. Do you know how many times he has played it since then? A big fat CERO. There is always something, the fact is that guitar is money and space sitting in the house. And now with the toddler being as Tazmania monster she can be, I fear for the guitar. Hubs get’s sensitive everytime I suggest him to sell it.
10. A BIKE.
How did that happen? We just visited some friends who had a baby two weeks ago and their just past single lifestyle seems to be compromised by this new member of the family. They have a lot of breakables, unsafe and oddly stored items inside their home. Well, their bikes were in their living room and somehow my husband just bought one of them. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Suddenly I had a deja vu.
Oh…. men!
