A Recipe Link Up
Sometimes, as Moms, we become so overwhelmed with the many hats we wear throughout the day that by dinner time, we lack the creative juices to come up with interesting meals for our families.
Sometimes we whip up meals our families hate (and sometimes not even made by us, hello Costco!), while other times they love our last minute creations. With kids returning back to school in just a few weeks, family schedules will become jam-packed with activities and we moms will be scrambling for new meal ideas.
Well, don’t you panic! No more flying by the seat of your pants mamas!
No more faking it!
Together, Bruna and I have created a monthly meme that will bring recipes right to your fingertips and help you build a repertoire of meal ideas you can try and perfect.
Not only will we be sharing our own secret family recipes, but we’re inviting all of you to do the same!
To participate, write a post in which you share any of the following:
1. A successful meal.
This could be or include:
a. An adaptation of a recipe you found.
b. How you get your kids to eat healthy. Tips, tips, tips!
c. Meal ideas your kids love.
d. Something you made that turned out to be good! Share your successful story (*).
2. A meal disaster. *
Because it takes practice to be successful in the kitchen! We’re only human after all.
a. What went wrong and what you would do differently next time? (*)
3. Format
a. Although we will accept all posts, with or without recipes and directions in it, ideally we encourage your post to include recipe ingredients and directions since we would like to create collections. NOTE: All posts linked (with a recipe format) will be pinned to our Why Fake It? Just Make It! Pinterest board.
b. (*) If your post is about a story, meal disaster or success, we will happily provide your post some love and support in the form of comments, but the post will not be eligible for our Pinterest recipe board.
FREQUENCY
Every first Monday of the month, come to either Mama and the City or Bees with Honey and link-up your recipe post! Then, have fun reading the other posts and pinning the recipes you would like to try out yourself!
It’s an easy way to build up a collection of meal ideas for your family!
So come back every first Monday of the month, and link up a recipe you love! The link will be open for that week. We’ll be waiting for you!
